Cottonwood Bud Balm
for sunburn, windburn, chapped nostrils, frostbite, rash
Arctic weather is not known to be kind to human skin, and sensitive ailments are a regular event here. In the spring we journey out from our homes on sun lit days, traveling to far away lakes for ice fishing and visiting the southern tree line to gather wood for Fall time fires. Our cheeks get frost bitten and our skin chaffs, and our winter pale skin gets easily sunburnt in the ever lengthening days. Since I was lucky enough to be able to gather these cottonwood buds before they became too sticky and unmanageable, I decided to create a healing and soothing balm that is perfect for those more sensitive ailments.
It has the very slight aroma of cottonwood bud musk and herbs that fades away after a few moments.
Good for soothing dry or cracked skin, Painful dry nasal passages, healing frostbite, sunburn, rashes, it relieves pain, speeds healing time, has anti infection properties, reduces itchiness, reduces redness and irritation, protects harmed area, does not have a room clearing smell, and is not heavy on the skin.
Do not use if are allergic to aspirin. This product does contain wildcrafted cottonwood buds, which carries a natural form of salicylic acid which is also found in OTC aspirin. So if you have a reaction to aspirin, more than likely you will have a reaction to my products containing cottonwood.
You will receive a 2 oz. tin of fresh Cottonwood bud balm, enough to last for quite a few uses as a little goes a long way! Please use within a year.
Ingredients: Wildcrafted cottonwood buds, Aloe vera oil, chamomile EO, vitamin e, jojoba oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol (not an "alcohol" such as rubbing alcohol, which would dry the skin, but a vegetable source emulsifying wax or thickener), Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Beeswax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Lipids, Lauryl Laurate (a vegetable derived palm), Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax
Q: do I only use this product in the winter?
A: This balm works all year long! though it is designed to melt with your body temperature so be mindful of keeping it as cool as possible and not in your pocket. If it melts it will not harm the awesomeness of the product, just place in fridge upright till solid again.
Q: How do I use it?
A: take your finger and rub the surface of the balm till you have some melted product, then rub into your skin where affected by dryness, cracking, etc conditions as described above. Reapply as needed or until the affliction subsides.
