Camp Soap

Summer in the Arctic always means tons of mosquitoes and biting flies.  Though it's great for the environment and for the birds it is most defiantly annoying!  Fighting the hordes of mosquitoes (the mosquito was almost Alaska's state bird!) has become a regular summer event.  This summer I decided to create a line of natural bug repellent products to try an get away from the deet overdose, perfect for campers (which we are!) gardeners, hikers, and anyone out there who loves nature as much as we do!

This is my 'Camp Soap,' the perfect mix of herbs and essential oils that both repel biting insects (and even moths) while healing your skin.  As anyone who enjoys the outdoors knows if you are getting your hands dirty you will get a cut or two, or sunburn, or scrapes!  This soap contains dried 'Stinkweed' (arctic wormwood) which has been used for generations and generations to repel bugs as well as a poultice that helps to heal small cuts and bruises. I have also added other wonderful herbs and essentials oils to bolster these beneficial characteristics!

You will receive one (1) cube o' soap which will come in a re-usable tin, a perfect container for throwing into a back pack or grub box as it will not get crushed. The soap weighs anywhere from 2.2-2.6 ounces, and will last a very long time!  This soap has a pleasant lemony herbal scent, clean and refreshing.

Please also see my listing for the single use sized soap tin,  and if you want to give this soap a try before buying the larger size see my samples section.

To make sure this soap lasts do not put the soap back in the tin wet, let it dry first.

Ingredients: Arctic Wormwood leaves (artemisia tilesii), Calendula petals, vitamin E, lemon grass EO, Citronella EO, Eucalyptus citriodora EO, tea tree oil, lavender EO, aloe vera extract, glycerin, propylene glycol, coconut oil, triethanolamime, sodium cocoate, sodium myristate, sodium laurate, sodium stearate, sorbitol, sodium laureth sulfate, purified water, yellow coloring.

  1. I know it's silly, but I love how this soap looks from a distance like amber stone with bugs trapped in it. :) Just seems so fitting.
