Arctic Salve

pain relief, muscles, joints, cuts, bruises, sores, faster healing

I created this salve for living in the Arctic, which includes a whole lot of sore muscles, scrapes, cuts, stiff muscles, blisters, and bruises almost every day.  My husband also gets dry cracked hands in the deep winter, which are painful and can hamper his ability to work. We needed something tough we could use for these ailments and also be something that was readily available and natural.  After a whole lot of trial and error and research, talking with elders, and mixing... I produced this beautiful salve.

Good for reducing swelling, relieving pain, speeding healing time, it has anti fungal properties, anti infection properties, relieves painful sore muscles, reduces itchiness, reduces redness and irritation, protects harmed area, soothes dryness, does not have a room clearing smell, and is not heavy on the skin.  Use on cuts, bruises, scrapes, acne, bug bites, stings, burns, rub into sore muscles (which is what I ADORE it for!), skin ulcers, sores and the like and the list goes on!  Do not use if you are on a aspirin regimen, are allergic to aspirin, or while taking anticoagulants.  Do not use of you are pregnant.

This product do contain wildcrafted willow bark, which carries a natural form of salicylic acid which is also found in OTC aspirin. So if you have a reaction to aspirin, more than likely you will have a reaction to my products containing Willow or Alder. It is a pain reliever that has been used for thousands of years...it is milder than OTC aspirin, but lasts much longer.  Use only once or twice within a 24 hour period.

You will receive one .75 oz  tube of fresh salve, please use within a year.

FAQ:
Q: do I only use this product in the winter?
A: This balm works all year long! though it is designed to melt with your body temperature so be mindful of keeping it as cool as possible and not in your pocket. If it melts it will not harm the awesomeness of the product, just place in fridge upright till solid again.

Q: How do I use it?
A: twist the tube to expose a small portion of the salve, rub onto area you wish to heal. You need very little of this product.  Rub for a longer period of time (two-five minutes) into sore or painful muscles with your hand.

Q: How often do I use it?
A: once or twice a day is the usual dose. Treat it as if you are taking a low dose of aspirin every time you apply.
